Live Action Beauty & the Beast News

Hi, Pixies!

The upcoming live action Disney film Beauty and the Beast  just released its first trailer and official release date!!!

I’m SOOOOOO excited about this movie!!! ❤

The trailer includes several sweeping views inside and outside of the Beast’s castle, snippets of instrumental music from the animated movie, and even has a brief glimpse of Belle (played by the wonderful Emma Watson) discovering the enchanted rose 😀

This movie is still in the early stages of filming, so I’m guessing another teaser trailer will be released later this summer or early autumn 🙂

I will post more info on this film as it becomes available 😉

Aladdin, as told by Emoji

Hi, Pixies!

Disney has just released another awesome video – Aladdin, as told by Emoji  😀

Join emoji-fied versions of Aladdin, Abu (so cute!), Jasmine, Genie, Jafar (looks totally creepy without a nose!), and the rest of the cast as they retell the story of Disney’s Aladdin through a whole new world of modern technology:

Please feel free to re-blog this post – it’s totally worth sharing 😀

Keep an eye out for future emoji installments featuring The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, and more that are in the works! 😉

Tinker Bell Live-Action Movie

Hi, Pixies!

I have some REALLY exciting news to share 😀

Disney originally announced they would be making a live-action film based on Tinker Bell called Tink back in 2010. Sadly, the project never made it to production, so it was put on hold…until NOW!!!  😀

On May 21, 2015, it was revealed that Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has signed on to play Tinker Bell and will co-produce the film with Bruna Papandrea.

Victoria Strouse (the screenwriter of the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory) is already attached to write the script for Tink. A director has not been announced yet as the film is still in very early stages of development.

As far as the plot, nothing official has been released to the public, but online rumors suggest that Tink will play with the idea and the timeline of Disney’s Peter Pan, and will be developed like Maleficent‘s theme of “the story you don’t know” by offering a new perspective of Tinker Bell. I’m hoping this film will FINALLY answer our question about how Tinker Bell met Peter Pan!

This film could be HUGE for us, because if it gets wildly popular, Disney might consider bringing our Pixie Hollow online game back but with some updates that tie in with the new film. I imagine it being like our beloved old game but with more areas of Never Land to explore and quests with Peter Pan. How cool would that be?!?!?!?! 😀

So, how excited are you for this?!? Leave me a comment below 🙂

Captain Jack is Back!

Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Now Filming!

I am a HUGE Pirates of the Caribbean fan, so when I heard news that the 5th installment is now filming for a July 2017 release, I just had to share 😀

Here’s info about the film from Wikipedia:

Captain Jack Sparrow is pursued by an old enemy, Captain Salazar, who along with his crew of ghost pirates has escaped from the Bermuda Triangle and is determined to kill every pirate at sea. Jack seeks the mythical Trident of Poseidon, which will bestow upon its possessor total control over the seas, to use against Salazar.

Initially planed for a 2015 release, the film was delayed to 2016 and then to 2017 due to script and budget issues. Principal photography started in Australia in February 2015 after the Australian government offered Disney $20 million of tax incentives. It is set to be released on July 7, 2017.

Here’s the article from Disney Insider:

Production has begun on location in Australia on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth film in the blockbuster franchise inspired by the classic Disney Parks attraction. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow and will be joined by Javier Bardem, Kayla Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, and Golshifteh Farahani. Geoffrey Rush, Kevin R. McNally, and Stephen Graham are rejoining the action as Barbossa, Gibbs, and Scrum, respectively.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Some equally exciting news is that Orlando Bloom will be returning to reprise his character Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales!

Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean

There are rumors that one of the central story lines of this film will be Will Turner’s relationship with his son – who will be played by Brenton Thwaites (the actor who played Prince Phillip in Disney’s Maleficent).

So, how excited are you to see this film?!? I know I can’t wait 😉

Good vs. Evil

Hello, Pixie Pals!

I have exciting Disney Princess news to share 😀

Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition ~*~ Available to own October 7, 2014

Source: Disney Store

Beauty, wonder, and adventure spin together in a grand legend that transcends time as Maleficent, one of animation’s most spectacular villains, sends the kingdom’s beloved Princess Aurora into an enchanted sleep. In a majestic story that awakens all your senses, Good Fairies arm brave Prince Phillip to defeat a fearsome fire-breathing dragon and rescue Aurora. But success in battle may not be enough, for the only way to awaken the Princess is with True Love’s kiss!

I’m hoping Sarah will write one of her awesome movie reviews of this once she returns 😉

Marigold’s Disney Discoveries

In honor of Sleeping Beauty’s Diamond Edition, Disney has just released Good vs. Evil into their Disney Princess Beauty Collection:

For a limited time, you can purchase Sleeping Beauty-themed bags, make-up, and nail art at select Walgreens stores or on their website (click here).

I so want the make-up beauty book!!! ♥

The items are all reasonably priced, too, at $9.99 each.

If you don’t live near a Walgreens, I’m sure these items will pop up on other websites for purchase in a week or so  😉

♥ Marigold

I am VERY fortunate that I have one of the select Walgreens selling the Good vs. Evil products near my school, so I begged asked my mom if we could stop so I could run inside and see if they had the make-up beauty book. She said yes (!!!), so we went in and there was a large Good vs. Evil display in the Beauty Department filled with bags, make-up, nail polish, nail art, fake eyelashes, and mirrored compacts! It was soooooooo hard to choose (I would have bought 1 of everything if I had the money), but I got the make-up beauty book ($9.99) and the mirrored compact (which was only $3.99):

My mom even got a mirrored compact for herself since Sleeping Beauty is her favorite all-time Disney movie ❤

Frozen News!

Hi, Pixie Pals! This is Marigold Sunjewel from Marigold’s Musings, and this is my first official post as a new guest author on Sarah’s blog! 😀 Before the Pixie Hollow Reunion, I made a commitment to help my fellow fairies and strengthen our fairy community. When I read in Sarah’s last post that she will not be able to post for a month while away on vacation, I decided this was the perfect chance to lend a wing and become a guest author to help keep her blog active 🙂 I have been asked MANY times to be a guest author on other pixies’ blogs over the years (and have always declined), but this situation is different because Sarah has been a guest author on my blog since March 2014, and I owe her big time for all the awesome posts she’s written  😉 So, without further ado, I bring you Marigold’s Disney Discoveries!!! 😀 ❤ Marigold

“For the first time in forever…” Frozen characters now in Once Upon A Time OUAT_1 Source: Disney Insider Blog In Sunday’s season premiere of Once Upon a Time on ABC, the temperature dropped in Storybrooke, as the show’s fairy tale cast grew to include characters from the world of Frozen. We were fortunate enough to visit the show’s set while they were shooting scenes for the new season, where we met Anna and Elsa themselves, actresses Elizabeth Lail and Georgina Haig. They gave us an exclusive peek into their lives portraying the warm-hearted sisters, and let us look closely at their incredible costumes. Talking to these two might have been the closest thing we’ve experienced yet to having an animated character walk out of the screen and into the real world, right in front of our eyes.

“I’m getting what I’m dreaming of…” Frozen CostumesCostumes_1 Speaking of Frozen, who is dressing up like their favorite Disney princesses or fairies for Halloween??? 😉 Let me know your costume plans in a comment below 😀 Also, let me know your thoughts on this post 😉
